Document Two: A punishment notification issued by the Communist Construction committee of the City of Changle

Date: April 17, 1998

It says: Four village women, Zung, W.F.; Zung M.C.; Zung M.T.; Wong Y.Y; all of them living in the village of Long-tean, are leaders of a group who illegally built a church building in April 1996. Their act was against the Construction Law, Item 32. According to the same law, item 40, they are ordered to put down the church structure before May 6, 1998. If they refuse to do so, the government would pull it down at the expense of the four women afore named.
